Last night, Charles Barkley did the annual tradition of playing the game ‘Who he play for?’ hosted by Inside the NBA host Ernie Johnson. At first, Barkley gets lucky but things go south from there. Check it out:
And this is one reason why we enjoy Barkley. He can go down in flames in a meaningless game and have a good time. After seeing several contests involving Shaq and/or Kenny Smith, like this shootout for example, they might take it just a bit more seriously and be just a bit more annoying.
With that said, this all sparks a way more interesting topic: What if current NBA players could do better in ‘Who he play for?’ and how many players really care where Aaron Gray plays is playing? Do superstars know more than the 12th players about who plays for each and every team? That actually seems logical since they’re way more likely to watch a ton of film, etc. on their opponents.
Regardless, it’s what I’m now curious about, for one day replacing my curiosity about life in another galaxy with something far more important: a game show on Inside the NBA.
